I took my sister to the emergency unit today and i had a mental break down. All the patiences talking and the staff was tripping me out . I thought they were talking about me the whole time. I have mental break downs similar to this one once in a while. I wanna know if Schizophrenic have mental break downs once in a while even on meds or this is not normal. I’m on invega sustenna 100mg and olanzapine 10 mg. Do you guys have mental breakdowns sometimes where you trip out

Stress can trigger sz symptoms even on meds for some.

I think thats what happen. I was under alot of stress

What do you mean by mental breakdown? Do you mean have a psychotic break?
No, it’s not normal! You should stay fairly stable!
What meds are you on?
Yes, you should avoid stress at all cost. It’s a trigger for psychosis.

I still think you should bring it up to your pdoc.

Perfectly fine. Ask your Pdoc to increase your meds/prn of your AP.
