Is it bad idea to drink everyday

Higher purpose
Greater good

All tyrants say that.

My photographer friend who was dying of cancer at the time lost the ability to go out and make pictures of his own. A tumor in his spine robbed him of his mobility. My promise what that each day where he could not go out with a camera, I would go out and make images for both of us. What I did – because I knew he would love it – was buy a bunch of vintage digital cameras to take out for shoots. Then I made photo blog entries with the photos for him. He wasn’t supposed to go so soon and I only got to use a portion of the cameras for him.

That is why I purchased the used cameras.

I used to be a drinker. One day, I thought to myself, “why do I drink everyday? It’s not necessary and it’s escapism”.

That day I decided to wean myself off alcohol. It took a week. Each day I had less alcohol than the day before.

I’m learning to deal with stress in life. You can too.

There are coping mechanisms you can learn that help.

I recommend working with a therapist on finding coping mechanisms that work for you.

My condolences for losing your friend.

In hindsight my previous comment was inappropriate, although meant to be a joke.

If a good friend of mine were to agonize, I’d very likely do the same for them.

I took no offense, no worries. I just thought you might appreciate the explanation. There is very little YOU could ever do to upset me – I hold you in very high esteem.

Tbh it was an explanation that while indeed shedding light on an otherwise confusing situation (who needs so many cameras?), has also embittered my mood.

I feel powerless to the passage of time, and not my own time, but my parents’. They’ve done quite a bit for me, both before and after I came down with sz. And when their time to need my help finally comes, will I be ready?

No one is ever ready. Just do your best and do it with love. That is the most anyone can hope for.

Your parents would be grateful for any help in the future. Your a good dude.
