Is one less rational than the other? (mind control and flat earth)
They’re both irrational beliefs to me, but it depends on why the person believes it.
Many flat-earthers justify their beliefs by reading what they think is real proof and ignoring all the science proving them wrong, as well as seeing evidence where there is none.
They refuse to listen to people who tell them otherwise.
A similar behaviour can be seen in people with delusions.

It’s not the same. But I don’t want to trigger people. There is so much evidence that the earth isn’t flat. Mind control is different. It might be possible in the future. Some say free will is just an illusion anyways.
I don’t want to encourage delusions.
