Is anybody on here a financial planner or have you worked in the past with financial planning?

Sounds like it’s good for you.

I come from peasant stock and we never had much money. Had a lot of emotional support though so I survive on a disability pension and live a rich and realized life.

Sz tends to harm your earning income pretty fiercely but family support is always good.

My father’s business is worth around 1 million dollars, if he or I sell it…if he passes away.

Good numbers and your very lucky. I think there’s a pretty serious link to poverty and mental illness.

I could get off a pension and have a lot of fun with that kind of coin. Being poor makes you appreciate the value of a dollar…

I don’t know how wealthy my father is with everything put together. I know we have a beach condo and a town house. I am grateful for being pretty wealthy.

I’m guessing my father is worth 11 and a half a million dollars, with everything put together. I forgot he also owns a couple of office floors in a building.

There’s a Lyric in a Song (By) Bright Eyes That Goes,

ā€˜I’d Rather Be Working For a Paycheck Than Waiting to Win The Lottery’.

It’s a Statement I Take Very Seriously.

Me and my father had a conversation about financial situations, with me after he passes away. The offices with the two floors is around 7,000 dollars a month…with whoever owns it.

I had to sell all my gold to afford two weeks worth of groceries from Safeway.

I have a sister and she will get half of the rent money, from my fathers offices. Therefore I will get 3,500 a month. He also told me he is going to put me on a trust fund, or something like that…when he passes away. Does anybody know what that is?

Im pretty much broke… my mum has some properties though … I know she plans to give my bro and me one each and one for herself …

My beach condo is worth around 479,000 dollars.

You should sell it, Jake. And donate the money to everyone on this topic who’s not as well off as you.

I wouldn’t say I’m wealthy, but I’m definitely not poor. I earn more than the average person, but I’ve worked hard to get here. On my way here I experienced poverty where I had to sleep in the car and struggled to afford foot to eat.

LS! My father died in 2002. He was a ā€œnotarisā€ solicitor, and earned well. But he was also an alcoholic with a bipolar disorder. He wasted a million on the buying and selling a house. Then there was not much left to inherit.

im not wealthy. but i have my own place. mom and dad are upper middle class and take me on trips sometimes. my brother in law also works in investments, he manages pepsi’s employees 401k and he also has some other big accounts. id be surprised if he makes more than 200k a year. but he says he will retire soon and he is in his mid 40’s. im the poorest in my family. most of my family is hard working and successful in their careers.

I’m on Social Security Disability in the US. I’m definitely not wealthy. My sister and her husband have money, but they won’t help me other than sending $50.00 to $100.00 for Christmas and my birthday.
