So its been 2 years since stopping Invega and i keep having withdrawal symptoms in waves form. First of all, my memory is messed up still, cognition also, had waves of delusions returning and emotional instability. Also had either sleeping too much or none. Also had irritability, anger, tension and anxiety. I was on Invega for 6 years. How do i know when its over? When it looks its over it startd again. Has anyone else went through depot withdrawals?
I did. It’s been about 2 years or so and I’m finally feeling like myself again. So it can take a long time.
Matbe ask for something like Wellbutrin. That has really helped me get on track.
Did you experience these withdrawal symptoms like i did?
Once I just abruptly stopped the invega pills withdrawal was horrible. I had to go in a low dose and taper down.
What withdrawal symptoms did you experience?
Nerve sensations especially in my eyes when I looked around the room, sweating, vomiting, and prickly sensations all over
I don’t remember now.
I went from Invega Sustenna (shots) to a different AP without being tapered off. I had no side effects doing it that way
I ended up staying on it at a lower dose bc of my withdrawals.
I hope you have found another drug to replace Invega with as most of us Schizophrenic’s get severely sick without antipsychotics.
