Invega has helped me a lot. But I’ve gained 30 lbs in like 2-3 months. Is it a weight gaining med? I’m going to stop it. I’m still on zyprexa which never caused weight gain like this.

yep. ive gained about 40-45 pounds in the past year. im on invega sustenna

Yes. I gained weight on invega. I am currently losing weight on Abilify Maintaina…but I am also working a job, working on a house and eating less. 5 flights of stairs tend to have that effect.
I was approaching nearly 250 at one point. I was at 227 when they weighed me at docs Monday.

Yeah it makes you gain weight but almost everyone Gaines weight in their 20s and 30s. I did what you did, asking people in forums for whether there’s weight gain on a certain med. I gained 100 lbs on invega but sometimes another med won’t work so be careful with that.
The reason I stopped risperdone in the first place was because a nurse told me “you’ve gained 100lbs, you’ve got to do something about it” like it was my fault. This medicine slows metabolism. But you know what there’s a reason there’s so many forms of invega and risperdone, whether you can drive and work or not is one of them
