im too depressed to rap them with any real emotion
i cant stand this anymore
i have a group interview for a national bakery chain tomorrow.
really nervous.
first job interview ever.
getting behind in school.
still zero actual friends
It’s normal to be nervous. My advice is to dress appropriately which means don’t go in jeans and a t-shirt. You probably know this already. But don’t go in a suit either. Just some nice pants and a nice button down shirt if you have them and nice shoes. My post is probably moot because you are in bed already and you might leave before you see this.
But anyways, make sure you are clean and well groomed. These are the very basic things for job interviews. These will help you make a first good impression. Before you go to the interview, leave enough time to eat and get something in your stomach. Believe me, you don’t want to be sitting in the interview and be distracted by hunger.
You don’t mention if you went to the bakery location or not but if you filled out an application online and you’ve never been there than I suggest to go to Google maps ahead of time and find the best way to get there. Take into consideration how the traffic is on the route if you are driving or if you’re taking a bus, then try to know the schedule ahead of time for the bus you take and all the transfers. Leave yourself plenty of time to get there. One of the very worst things you can do when job searching is to be late to a job interview. It will put a big negative in the interviewers mind about you. Being on time is under your control. Anyways, if you do these things it will lessen some stress.
I’m wearing a nice informal jacket with sweats. i should probably change the sweats part, but all my pants are too big cuz ive lost weight. hopefully i can impress them by just being natural and friendly.
You can only do what you can do, right? Wearing sweats to a job interview is not good but if that’s all you have than it will have to suffice. Can you borrow some pants maybe? Or go to a thrift store or a Salvation Army or Goodwill store and pick up a passable, decent pair of pants? But you are correct, being natural and friendly goes a long way in an interview. Employers want people who they like and they want people who will get along with other employees. But even jerks get hired all the time. I’m not calling you a jerk, I don’t know if you are one or not, lol. I’m just trying to point out that you don’t have to be perfect to get hired.
