Instant coffee?

This is not sz related.

I drink instant coffee and a lot of it. It never gives me heartburn or the jitters. In fact I may stop drinking it one day because it isn’t much of a stimulant. My question is, is it because it’s not brewed?

Maybe you’ve built up a tolerance to caffeine?

I agree with @everhopeful. Perhaps you’ve just developed a tolerance to it, because of drinking too much, too often.

Probably because it isn’t brewed. Brewing leeches more caffeine out.

*edit- you can still overdo it with instant and just because I think brewed is stronger, doesn’t mean it is. I’ll look it up.

I thought so too. But when I lowered my intake my anxiety improved greatly. It did cause me sone anxiety if it wasn’t jitters

I hardly get any effect from coffee since starting aps. I thought the medication prevents the effect.

I found this:

The main difference between instant coffee and ground coffee, is the amount of caffeine," explains Hardman. "One cup of instant coffee contains 60-80mg of caffeine . On the other hand, a ground or brewed coffee contains 60-120mg of caffeine per cup

I have to drink decaf. I’m trying to quit caffeine.

I actually like both, for me the taste of instant requires more things in it (cream and sugar) to make it palletable.

I prefer instant coffee.

I miss coffee, can’t drink it as it makes me agitated/nervous and irritable. Weird that caffeine don’t do this for me, at first I thought it means caffeine pills are a scam but I tried going off them and I did see a difference, without them I sleep a lot, feel more tired and sedated from meds. I also feel sleepy all day.
