Insomnia sucks,

I had a really good run for a while there, but my insomnia is back. After a week of less than 6 hours a night, I took lunesta and laid down with my eyes closed. And promptly got restless. It has now been 3 hours since I took the pill. It isn’t safe to double it up with anything else in my arsenal. Stupid brain tumor. It’s been almost half my life since it’s been gone and I still can’t sleep.

No it is not. I just laid down and felt wide awake.

I thought you were up way later than usual @Ninjastar. I sleep like a baby most times even if I forget my zyprexa at night. I miss effexor in the morning and it’s horrible. Happened last month. Couldn’t get a handle on why I was awake all night and sleep was hard…that stuff really does stuff me up If I miss a dose!

Stick around here long enough I’m sure we can bore you to sleep… …otherwise white noise or streaming some shows really helps me!

Im currently on the overnight schedule so if you need a friend to chat with until sleep happens, I’ll be around watching ghost adventures and dead files. I hope sleep comes soon for you.

I didn’t know you had such a condition. That’s alarming. Keep us posted, if you feel like it.

It is old news. I had it as a child, it got taken out, along with part of my pineal gland which is unfortunately the part of the brain that makes you sleepy. No other side effects to speak of.

I’m sol when the controlled substances are like sugar pills to me. I’m worried because last time it got this bad I needed to go to the hospital and get the hospital only drugs. And even those only got me 4 hours.

have you tried 300 mg of trazadone? I sleep well only when I take that much. trazadone isn’t addictive like a lot of sleep meds out there.

Trazadone did nothing for me. I’ve been on every sleep pill.

dangit…I’m sorry…what about a soothing back rub and foot rub…or a hot bath? lame I know…wish I could help.

I would love those things. Mr. Star is working nights tonight, unfortunately.

do you ever put on “waves of the ocean” or “rain storms” in your spotify list while you try to sleep…?

I have a fan for sleep

You guys! I feel so foolish. I just realized my insomnia started exactly the day I restarted sarcosine. Oops. I guess it reacts differently with my new med than it did with my old med. This is why you should always inform your doctor before adding a supplement.

You could also try the military method of falling to sleep. I’ll look for a good link.
