After reading a biography of Winston Churchill, it became clear to me that nobody really knows what they’re doing in war. Hit and miss tactics at best. So awful and complicated as to defeat the mind entirely.
War is for children who can’t communicate and being stubborn.
Like fighting over a bag of candy.
In war it’s not who is right that matters most, but who is left.
Churchill bore quite a bit of the responsibility for the disaster at Gallipoli. It’s a stain on his record. He was far from perfect. But he was surely brilliant in rallying the English people against Hitler and Nazi Germany.
Only the dead have seen the end of the war.

I wanted to experience combat. It was the most misguided I’ve ever been. I can’t even deal with stuff I didn’t even do wrong in the past. It’s definitely not cool. I always thought a lot went into combat, I guess the biggest part is bravery.
He inspired a whole county and gave them hope in the face of an imminent invasion or defeat. He must have kinda knew what he was doing. He also suffered from depression. “The black dog” he called it.
He also was the one who said, Quote: “When you’re going through hell, keep going.”
He was finally victorious, yes. after many defeats and with a lot of help from the US. He found combat exhilarating and fought his own feelings about it. At least that’s was the impression I got from reading.
That’s pretty esoteric. But I say that about people, but in reality people are making intelligent decisions. But people are people and they make mistakes. Leaders make mistakes for sure if you look at all the leaders of both sides. But they also do some pretty brilliant things. That’s why women like powerful men because it’s amazing what one single person can actually accomplish when men around them are failing and lost and falling apart. The leader steps up… I won’t say anything good about Hitler except he had to have quite an exceptional mind, despite the fact he was an evil monster. But objectively speaking, he had quite a mind.
Life is about taking chances and those willing to take huge chances and keep succeeding are called “great men”.
My Dad was a German immigrant and I know he WANTED to believe good things about Hitler but was really quite silent about him. It is only recently that I’ve been willing to say he was “evil”.
I have heard that Hitler only got power hungry after a teacher ignored his work. Don’t know how true that is.
I like this image of war. It’s so simple and reductio ad absurdam. Did you get it from somewhere, @anon84157300?
I think war is for the adult children who haven,t grown up. It’s like in kindergarten. Same issues.
I going lay down my burden down by the riverside and study war no more. Llama its an old song.
The only way war will end is if every individual evolves. Unfortunately evolution is a very slow process.
I am belonging to that country which fought world War for only salary.!!!
