Improvement or beginning stages of mania?

Over the past week or so, I’ve started to feel an improvement. My mood is better, I have more energy in a calm, non-restless way, and I’m able to focus better.
This might not sound like a problem, but I’m still a bit concerned, as it deviates from my norm.

I started school three weeks ago, and to be honest, I was expecting a dip in my mental health, not a direct improvement. It feels strange, and even though I want to allow myself to ride the good wave and just roll with it, I have to ask…

Is this what mania feels like before it starts, or am I really just feeling better?
Should I be worried or happy?

I hope this happens to me when I go back to school. You hit the nail on the head though, you aren’t restless. I hope it works out for you. When I moved into my apartment I basically couldn’t sleep because of all the change. It worried me a lot, but I know I just had to give it time. It took a couple weeks and I was back to normal. Good luck.

How is your sleeping/rate of speech/speed of thoughts? Can you sit still for periods of time?

I don’t feel as tired lately as I usually do, and I sleep a little less too. I’m talking and thinking faster, but that may also be the coffee I like to start my day with.
I’m able to sit still somewhat. I’m not restless or agitated, but I’ve noticed I tend to check facebook and rotate my chair a lot.
But that too might be caffeine.
