Not bothering to get dentures. I don’t care what I look like and I can eat most things other than tough meat which I didn’t eat much before. Is that crazy?
Hey. Dentures cost a lot of money. I think my grandmother’s were like $3000 USD.
3793.15 Canadian Dollars
I’d get them at the university dentistry school for around $1000. Just seems like a waste of money. I rarely go out and when I do it’s mostly just family.
Do you still have teeth to eat with?
No but I manage fine
I’m pretty happy with mine. I also like being able to smile for a picture without being self-conscious. Just so you know, you still can’t eat tough meat with them, they’re not so good for that. Great for popcorn, though!
Go with your gut! I’m going to need upper dentures at some point. I’m going to wait as long as possible.
Your smile is very pleasant. Do what you want.
oh I don’t know, Phil has no teeth, and he kinda smiles in our selfies.
He says the glue on those dentures is what gets him.
He still eats lots of steak.
I move in middle-class, professional circles. A toothless smile doesn’t go over well. You need to go along to get along and that means a toothsome smile. Social networking is important in this crowd as opportunities flow from those connections. I’ve learned to be careful about maintaining them and they have saved me on occasion.
yeah. kinda sad, Phil wore dentures and always ironed his work pants working maintenance in a hotel,
but they still let him go.
I’m not much of a meat eater. I can still eat chicken, fish, seafood and ground meat. I’ve never been fond of things like steak and ham etc.
My dad doesn’t want to get dentures even though the dentist recommends that. It is just too uncomfortable for him.
Wearing dentures also helps slow bone resorption. Your lower jaw will shrink 2x or more faster without them. That’s another consideration.
