It’s his birthday on the 22nd March and he’s currently saving up for Florida for 2024. He’s saving £1 coins in his massive plastic cola bottle, is it best to give him 100 £1 coins for the bottle or £100 in notes. I’m thinking if I give him notes he’ll just spend it as its easily available and in his wallet, he’s rubbish with money.

You can’t control what he’ll do with it either way so I’d say do what’s easier on you.

The coins sound more fun! I would love that!
You’ve lost me. You were having to nick suds from the local retailer because you lost control of your finances, yet you’ve got dosh to splash around on friends now?

I have thousands in my deputyship account, he looks after my finances as I’m deemed to lack capacity by the Courts. If I ask him for money for alcohol he denies it so this has left me in the past to steal. £100 gift money for my friend will be Okay.
