going to get my sisters kids gift cards worth $50 bucks, there are 3 of them. and then my other sister is coming in with my 7 year old nephew and 5 year old niece, so i will get them each a shirt or something, i would get them a toy, but i figure toys would take up too much room in their luggage on their flight back home to denver. not getting anyone else anything. anyways it’s an improvement over previous christmas’s where i spent $600 or $700 dollars getting everybody gifts. and then i would end up eating cheap totinos cheese pizza at night every day just to save money for gifts. so i wised up and don’t do that anymore, plus i have a liittle extra because of the stimulus spending we received a few months ago.
I’m going to end up spending a significant amount this Christmas ,but it will be spread out over several months because I started early and won’t be as noticeable on my bank account on a month to month basis. I have already gotten my parents presents. I will take out money for my nieces and nephew later on.
That’s a good budget I think. I really do think with Christmas it’s the thought that counts. A $5 gift you picked out with a lot of thought or like a funny gift or something that reminds you of good times you had together and a card is better than a 100$ gift you randomly just got … i like meaningful gifts. I thibk I might get people books this year
Lol like if you have a relative who likes to cause a lot of trouble you could get them a big bag of coal the laughs you’ll get out that are priceless
This is EXACTLY how I am. I started in August, so I could spread out my spending over the months. Plus I typically dislike holiday shopping in December, so I get my family all their presents before then.
