My friend had an Atari game system, and plain Nintendo was what the teenagers played. Super soakers were a coveted possession. The speed limit on the highway was 60mph.
I remember metal soda cans with pop tops.
I’m so old I remember when items at the dollar store actually cost a dollar!
I’m so old my parents’ vibrator plugged into the wall (I didn’t know it was a vibrator until years later)!
I would spend the rest of my life trying to forget that.
I still remember the times well before mobile phones. Like 8 bit computers with televisions as monitors. It was so expensive at the time and the ones at school were the bomb!

Also, parents would put their kids in the backseat and not fasten them. There were no seatbelts.
Oh also: I’m so old that living family members were still born in the 19th century (1895-1899, I think). They were alive when I was a kid. My granny’s aunts.
They were among the earlier ladies to drive their own car, and fly a plane for tourist trips. Maybe in the 1920s. They were called after at the streets, because women didn’t drive back then (nor most men).
I’m so old when I was very young people left their keys in the car’s ignition and the windows down.
