My in-laws went to Tennessee to pick up their niece they got another freaking dog! I love dogs and pretty much all animals but my in-laws barely take care of the animals they have

tell em, they got it, so they can take care of it or they will have to pay you double for looking after it, sounds like you will have your hands full,

They won’t pay me double I can tell you that now. I’m also upset because the dog chases cats and small animals. Doesn’t get along with other dogs

you have to tell them that if they dont pay you at least double then you cant look after it for them, it sounds like they are trying to take advantage of you, (or deliberately trying to piss you off)

If you started volunteering at an animal shelter then what would they do about their own pets? or even get a job at an animal centre and then you would be helping and you wouldnt be on your own and you’d be more appreciated for it, just a thought.

cant you ask your gf to have a word with them and get her to try and sort it out? they dont seem to think how it will affect you or they just dont care.

Well since my partner’s little sister got what she wanted which was another dog. She decided she didn’t want to volunteer at the humane society shelter anymore. but I want to volunteer by myself at a no kill cat shelter about a mile down the street.

my partner and i talked to my mother in law about the extra dog and just all the chores piling up. they had my partner’s little sister today help pick up dog poop and clean the rabbits cage. i don’t know if its temporary or not but it was nice. i had her and my niece carry the poop trays. they also had to spray the trays down and scrub them like i do almost every day.

that sounds a lot better for you, i hope you can volunteer, and i hope they can help you out a lot more and its not just a one off, it sounds like you took charge as well and that takes guts :slight_smile: cats are great :slight_smile: have you thought about making a career with animals? or are you not up for that atm,
