I'm really grateful for online food shopping

and home delivery. I get anxious shopping in store plus I always spend more in store too. Online I can get what I need, look at offers better and meal plan better plus I don’t have to carry loads of bags home.

What do you prefer, online shopping or going to the store?

Online with grocery delivery for sure.

I don’t have a car. But like you, shopping online cuts out impulse purchases.

On one hand, I’m sure i miss out on new products when I don’t see store displays.

But I have also had major meltdowns in both Food Lion and Walmart.

It’s way too hard for me to do a week’s shopping at once.

When Walmart delivers, I only need to carry all that stuff from my front door to the kitchen. My husband and I eat 95% separate things so our grocery budget is big.

I have Walmart+ so I don’t pay delivery fees, just driver tips.

My favorite way to shop is online for most things. I don’t really like buying produce or meat online though because the employees don’t always pick up the good ones. But cereal, deodorant, paper towels and toilet paper. Things like that I prefer to order online for pick up.

I just show up, pop my trunk and everything is loaded in for me. Sometimes I help if the order is big but it’s usually not.

I have never tipped the driver before, for food shopping or takeaways.

Delivery fees are too high and the store adds “service charges” and a mandatory 17% tip which if I buy a $100 worth of groceries the tip is $17.00 extra.
I’ve been doing curbside pickup for several months now.
I order online, a designated shopper does all my shopping and I drive to the store and park and they come out and load my groceries in my car. It’s a free service and very convenient. Today was the first time I’ve been in a store in months.

I don’t do online shopping because they ramp up the prices. And they take extra fees on everything. Yeah, and the delivery also costs money.

Delivery charge is only £1.50 after 6pm here in England and the online prices are exactly what they are in the shop plus we don’t tip for delivery. I don’t know anybody who tips for anything. Even in restaurants I don’t tip in the UK.

I prefer to go to the store. I have shopped online before and I tended to find they would give us food that was almost out of date and had to be eaten within 2 days. For a weekly shop that wasn’t good. Also they would find alternatives for things they didn’t have in which I did not like either.

I like Walmart+, got it recently and comes with Paramount+. The Halo TV show is great. Also, discount for being on Medicare.

ive been shopping online for over a year. mistly picking it up. thinking of going in person again though. early morning when its not busy. better food than walmart has.
