I talked to my pdoc today and told her I was sleeping too much and she lowered the dose and it’s less antipsychotic than I’ve ever been on. I think there’s a chance it’ll work out, I’ve worked out a lot of problems the last time I did this.

That’s wonderful. Sometimes less is best. I take a lot of medicine sadly. But my ap are pretty low right now. I think I’m staying sane. I’m a little irritable but sane, I think. So that’s really good. I think we need a bit more when we are actively psychotic and then we can reduce it to keep it at bay when we are not having symptoms, but that’s just my theory.

Good luck. I went from 6 to 5mg risperidone about a year ago and it was great. But last week went down to 3mg and at the end of the week I felt I was starting to be destabilized, got insomnia and nightmares, these are usuallly the first signs of relapsing for me.
I’m on less medicine than ever too.
