I’m going to make a concerted effort to be around more often now that the holidays are over. I think I’ve finally over my burnout and many of the various things that have been keeping me busy over the last few weeks have either ended completely or died down considerably. Should be available more often.
No, that it would be a stupid move on my part to sell at this point. It has probably either bottomed out or close to bottomed out. Buy high, sell low, would not be a wise decision.
I should have been more descriptive in my statement. What I meant was did you sell high prior to the stock going low? But then, you already answered that question in your last post.
Nah, I’m hanging on to it. It’s not like I have huge amounts invested. Electric cars are a growth market. Either Tesla will be competitive in the long run and the stocks will go back up or I will lose a bit. Not a big deal.
On an upbeat note, my Costco stock is doing extremely well.
I actually have been moving a good chunk of change into government internet savings bonds between the end of last year and more as of the first of this year (today). There is a limit to how much you can invest per year. I feel this is a safe investment at the current time and should counter inflation to some extent.
Not really. I just wanted to know the amount of shares and how much the stock value was when he purchased it. It’s a fair question and a personal finance question. He doesn’t have to share this information.
Well, understand that making money in my culture is very different than in your culture. Finance, economics and accounting are fields of study that I have taken courses on.
I can’t answer these questions easily because the app I use deals in partial shares. with a little math I could probably tell you approximately how much I invested based on my stocks current value and the percentage it has gone down (Because I don’t remember the exact amount) . I move money around different investments occassionally. I dont really feel like looking it up and calculating. Also, seems a bit too personal financial details I dont really feel like sharing.
I’ve owned Costco stock for quite awhile. I have my stock market investments spread out among many different stocks.
The savings bonds are 2 different types. Without going into too much detail, I think both the type of bonds contuinue to accrue interest for up to 30 years. You can cash them in after 12 months, but if you cash in less than 5 years after purchasing you lose 3 months of interest…So the answer to your question is 12 months, with a caveat.
