question is, what do I do if am not trying to get rich?

I suppose you’re right from that context, but even buying bread needs you to be rich enough to buy a loaf of bread
Spend your life learning and getting an education. Be in school your whole life, you’ll never be rich.

maybe scavenge some chickens from the local farm… cook up some roast chicken down in the woods

makes you realize the whole world system is built around getting rich enough | to buy food… well, excluding the isolated amazonian tribe + that infamous island tribe that kills any outsider that tries to contact them ; they’re last kill was some chinese missionary who thought he could show them Jesus and the bible 
If you can’t make money or are too lazy to earn it, then you can try bartering. Some guy started off with a red paperclip and ended up with a house. Google it.

just read about it lol… now I want to start a website that’s all about bartering stuff… no money allowed, just trading. lol
People move from social class to social class. Which social class you belong to determines how much money you have. We as schizophrenics occupy the underclass in which most of us rely on government transfers.

I’m in the minority, I just want 30-40k a year. When I can pay for housing and food and travel, that will be enough. People who talk about making large sums of money think they are impressing me, I am not impressed. Everybody’s equal regardless of bank size.

I believe if I didn’t have the schitz, I would be upper middle class. Oh well, just a pipe dream. Won’t ever happen in this reality.

Majority of people who work pay taxes. Most firms whatever size, type or revenue stream pays taxes. A small percentage of the population do not pay their taxes for whatever reason.
It is not a small percentage though. It’s pretty high. Some conservatives think all Americans should pay taxes, even if it’s a tiny bit.
I pay sales tax mainly. Most people do.

Live a rich and realized life. It’s not hard. Get rid of expectation and your never disappointed! Learn to live on nothing and your always rich. It’s all about disposable income anyways. Not what you earn for most folk!
