I'm great at filling out forms

It wasn’t always this way. When I used to have to fill out Social Security or Medicaid forms it was a daunting task that I would put off as long as possible. Now, it is, dare I say, easy; they ask the same questions and I’m an expert at filling these out. I just did my Medicaid redetermination forms today; it took less than ten minutes. I just print out the proof of income statements and stick everything in an envelope and mail it out.

I dont like filling out forms. Im ok at it, but I dont enjoy it at all.

We have been doing a lot of that between my wifes name change, marriage, moving, combining income which affects medicare and medicaid and the related programs, drivers license and such.

Been to the local medicare office for requesting income verification letters and other stuff enough lately that I was thinking about bringing a lawn chair next time.

They wouldn’t do that over the phone? Or on their website? I just printed out an SSDI benefit verification letter off the SSA website.

My wife tried to sign up online and had trouble verifying her identity on the Login.gov website in order to login to ss site. It ended up being easier just to go in.

I dont know if youve done it in awhile, but these days they make you take a picture of your id and face and get all the information to match. Its a whole deal. It may be that their records did not have her updated address or whatever, but we couldnt figure out why it wasnt letting her in.

Hmmm, IDK, maybe call the SSA when they first open on a Monday or Tuesday so you’re sure you’ll get through and tell them you’re having trouble logging in. It’s really handy two or three times a year to print out a benefit verification letter from the website.
