This drug is around a long long time , it seems it was first indicated for Major Depression and I don’t think its too cynical of me to say that through the years with exclusive rights on Ability expiring on the horizon that the company has emphasised it as an Anti Psychotic. Phase 2 trial was for Major Depression and results were published in 2011.
I’m not your pdoc but it sounds more like an adjunctive treatment option. Do you suffer from depression?
No, but it sounds like the same as abilify, whereby 5mg is used as an adjunct for depression, and 10mg is an anti psychotic. I ‘just’ suffer from schizophrenia, not depression.

What I want to do is hold out for a year if I can before I try it. Whether or not I’ll be able to tolerate abilify for another year in practice is another question. Sometimes I get desperate.
