I cant work here anymore I’m tired of fighting and losing…maybe I’m interpreting my managers intentions wrong but some of the things happening are not right… when you work in a government department its not really legal to put up a job advert for everyone and only hire your friends

You are correct. That’s not right. Hiring should be done based on merit not familiarity. You are right to go elsewhere. You should file a grievance on your way out so that the manager’s behavior can be brought to the light. But wait until you already are leaving so you don’t get harassed. Even though technically they aren’t supposed to harass you for filing a grievance, they still will.
