I'm freaking out over this storm

Guys… I’m terrified.

I’m not used to this type of thing at all.

Tornado warnings are going off like crazy.

Thunder and lightning will supposedly start in an hour and a half and go until 5am.

We could get some crazy winds in the middle of the night.

One thing is saying only 40mph, another source is saying up to 105mph winds!!! Wtf!

I’m staying calm… But I am panicking hardcore on the inside.

I’m gonna sleep in my daughters room with her. Just to be there for her, and to make myself feel better too.

I am in this storm also. My daughter and I are in the living room because there is a huge tree over the back of the house where our bedrooms are. We have been out of power since 5:30

@anon61987434 Don’t worry, I live in the Midwest and we always have tornado warnings. Sadly enough the tornadoes tend to hit the more rural areas as there is less construction there to impede their path.

Just snuggle with Baby Sun and take things easy.

Like I said in my other comment, I moved my daughter to the living room with me and we will sleep here.

Unfortunately we’re kind of in a rural area a little ways out of the town/city. Ugh.

AND we’re in a manufactured home/trailer thing…

I am thinking of astroid hitting the earth. It must be a fake news but every day there is a astroid or comet :comet: with different speeds. I have no clue what’s up with Google

Four millions of years we’ve had asteroids. And rocks of all different kinds fly by us. Hundreds of thousands of year’s has it been since the last one struck us? But yet here we are.

I am in florida and Helene just passed near my area a few hours ago so we are now getting the backside of the hurricane. The tree fell and missed our house by a few feet. The tornado threat is fading out for us here but it is getting worse north of us.

My electric was restored about 45 minutes ago (I had no electric for 5 hours). I’ll assess the house in the morning. It could have been much worse.

@anon61987434 I hope you got through the worst of the storm ok. We just got our power turned back on and luckily there was no damage to anything when that tree fell. But it was definitely a stressful night!

Thankfully my house is in good shape. My girlfriend’s brother has 8 feet of water in his house (it’s a 3-story house). I can’t help him because I don’t drive and the entire area is flooded. He has local friends helping him. They’re using multiple wet-vacs to remove the water.
