At letting myself be controlled. I can’t fight against sick people though.

Yeah man it sucks to lose a fight in life but sometimes we have to suck up our pride and “take the high road” as they say.
I live below some of the most obnoxious disrespectful people you could ever imagine. Nearly half the building has called the cops on them because of their noise and fighting, and one of them is even suing our management. (Probably not the brightest idea to sue who you live under, but hey what the hell do I know, right?) They’ve calmed down a little bit lately though. I think management is getting lots of complaints about them.

I lived next door to someone who was convinced the upstairs neighbour had laid his stereo speakers face down on the floor and pumped up the volume just to get at him. He was mentally ill though. The police came several times, and one time I heard the police officer say you got to take your medication.
In reality he probably heard me playing music, although I never played loud, but isolation in the building wasn’t the best. I never mentioned it to him though.

sounds like something you’'ve got much deeper thoughts about…paranoia? thinking of lashing out at someone? I wouldn’t do that.
