Dreams of being rich only bring unhappiness. You should find happiness in the good things that you do have in your life.
The simplest pleasures in life bring the most happiness.

I’m sorry you feel that way. You will miss out on the best things in life.
Rich people are some of the most unhappiest people on earth.

i disagree when i was rich i was more joyful

We just have different priorities in life
I would rather live in a shack with my beloved Polish man’s arms around me than have all the money in the world.

I completely disagree. While money can buy better health and no worries about financial difficulties, it does not buy real happiness. If rich people are so happy, then why do they go through so many divorces? Why are they and their children so lacking in empathy for others? Love, Freedom, Family and Hope are the most important things in happiness. You take those away from people and they commit suicide.
I grew up in a well off family and I’ve been dirt poor. I’m happier with less, but then I don’t really care about materialistic things. America likes to push money and materialistic things as the path to happiness. Look at Americans who run down that path for the pursuit of money, most are unhappy and plaster a fake smile on their face to show the world. I prefer Poland where most people are poor, but they are happy because they put family first.

I had plenty of money at one time. I was still sick. That’s why I don’t have any money now. Now I can live simply which is what I wanted to do all along.

I personally am ok being poor. I still indulge powerball but I’ve given up almost everything I owned in the last few years and it has been a relief. However, there is the honest perspective that those who have their needs met are happier. Money affords some of those things.

I see a therapist and psychiatrist regularly. Without it I am lost. I do not have the money for these services, it is a social grant. Money affords that.

Would you say you were a modest mouse?

I love that band.
