If I go abroad I can't work

If my partner goes abroad and I go with I won’t be able to work it would be like some of my independence gone I wouldn’t even get disability and would need to rely on him financially. But the thing is … I’d really want to go at the same time

Not such a bad thing. If you’ve a partner for life as the plan goes you can do other things. Running a household is pretty much a job anyways the way I look at it. I think the modern world sux because in my parents generation you could survive on one income. These days you need two incomes to even try and buy a house etc…

You could do art. Have kids. Support husband. etc etc. Plenty of things to do and not such a bad thing in my book!

I am guessing I would need a permit to work… i would be entering on a spousal visa… But i am not sure usa is one of the locations he would go

spousal visa might guarantee work permit. where are you moving?

We are not we just speaking of future.

Oh, I see. You’ll be ok- I know some people with spousal visa and they were able to work as soon as their visa was approved.

If working is important to you then when you found out what country you’re going to look up how to get a work permit in that country and start making preparations so that you can get the permit. In the meantime just volunteer.

that’s how you get all these americans traveling abroad and freelancing or working on-line. As long as the work is based in the USA and you are working online for americans anyways you don’t need a work visa is what I’ve been told.
