IDK. Do you say this to a woman?

I get really tired at work. When I get tired it’s almost like I’m drunk. I say stupid stuff I think is funny(I know this may surprise you). Most people laugh but probably some are faking it.

I was cleaning the woman’s restroom today and we don’t want any of the soldiers using it until we’re done. But this young woman I’ve seen around for a couple of years walked up to me and asked if she could use it. Normally I would say “no” but I needed a break so I said sure and walked out. Then I said as she walked in, “Knock yourself out”. It’s just a stupid expression and I was just trying to be funny and I really couldn’t tell how she took it. After she left I was wondering if it bothered her. She might have just shrugged it off as harmless.

So weigh-in if you want. Women or men, what’s your opinion? Was it rude? Harmless? Funny? Inappropriate?

Harmless. I see no issue with that at all. You’re overthinking

Harmless/funny. It’s a very common expression equivalent to saying “do your thing” or “go ahead.”

Don’t sweat it.

Sounds harmless to me.

Sounds harmless, all good mate.

Maybe if you told her to get knocked up that might be a tad rude

Anyone offended by that needs to get a bit of a backbone. Not even slightly offensive. Maybe she was having a crappy day (oops pun intended)

Harmless. No woman would find that statement offensive, rude or inappropriate.

Harmless, I doubt she cared
