I’m not delusional. Someone used my name, date of birth, and Social Security number to claim pandemic unemployment funds. I had to file a police report and a complaint with the unemployment office.
Now anytime I try to do anything online, I get asked a ton of security questions, such as which one was my phone number back from 1983 when I was 24 years old. I have been passing all these tests. I guess I’m going to have to do this for the rest of my life now.
That sucks. You have to be careful with sharing SSNs. Some people just put it in mails here. That sort of stuff is dangerous,
I have no idea who has my ssn. My mom probably gave it to the shyster who did her taxes a long time ago. I haven’t given my ssn to anyone myself. The shyster who did my mom’s taxes claimed a credit for her being blind when she’s not and everything else. My sister had a hell of a time and had to get HR Block to properly refile her taxes correctly.
