Thanks. I’m a member of AARP and will check it out. My identity was used back in maybe 2020 to steal pandemic unemployment funds. My HUD landlord accused me of trying to scam the system. I filed a police report, a complaint with the unemployment office, and an identity theft affidavit with the IRS. I have no idea how they got my name, date of birth, and Social Security number.

Somebody got me good once. Logged into my bank account and changed all my security questions and even ported my cell phone number to another carrier so they could get my text messages.

No clue how they were able to do this. It took me a while to get my cell phone number back. They didn’t know my password but they did have the last 4 of my SSN so my cell phone company let them have my phone number.
