You know something - I have never listened to an Elvis record. Like never. Have seen footage of him performing but never heard his music.

Never heard that, he went from church, to grassroots, to mainstream.
There was no competition with the Beatles, he was into his movies. Notice he was never on Ed Sullivan? King of rock, in no way they had ever heard it.

do you know what he died from, cuz, all I know is him having a ham sandwich then going to the crapper and dying in the bathroom. Was he poisoned?
Apparently he once, with no call ahead, turned up at the White House and asked to see the president. Nixon was in office at the time and agreed to meet him privately!
