Also I know that before there were psych meds there was psychosis so it’s not a thing that I was caused by psych meds HOWEVER in my heart I truly believe Ritalin caused me to go into psychosis and I have permanent damage because of it

It probably wasn’t a case of first person. It is likely, in my view, that a large number of early humans had psychotic symptoms due to malnutrition, head injury, traumas, and indiscriminate breeding among other things. People only lived long enough to breed and raise an infant to early maturity ie teens, so I’m guessing psychosis and other illness were common cause of mortality.

It probably existed as early in Proto-Humans. So probably millions of years.
