I was a vegan before and I didn’t get omega 3 in my diet. Because of this I suffered a lot of mental stress, sort of like mental akathisia where it’s stressful to be in your own mind. Started taking omega 3 and it basically cured this stress. So I figure it must be important in some way?
Make sure your omega 3 supplements are rancid and make you sick. Fish oils oxidised very quick and a lot of companies sell rancid omega 3 supplements. Hopefully you got a good one.
I eat fish instead of supplements.
Just remember to not overdose, like just take the omegas every other day or you will overdose

Yes, they say it’s very important for health. I have more or less taken it my whole life, so don’t know how it feels to not take it. There aren’t many plant sources for it. The only one I can think of is Walnuts. There are probably a few others though.
I overdosed and felt ill, very poor and depressed. It may be different for you though.
