Do you take omega 3 fish oil capsules?

Can someone tell me what it’s good for and if it helps schizophrenia…

I took them. They didn’t work out for me. They made my anxiety go through the roof.

Is…, Fish Oil…, Actually…, Moisture…, From The Scales…, of a…, Fishie…?.. . … :pensive:

I am not a big specialist in supplements, but I believe a fish oil supplement is completely safe and is good for your cardiovascular health.

Omega-3 is good. It helps with my moods. Ask pdoc if it’s ok though.

Yea made my anxiety high also did nothing for schiz.

Ive been taking them since I was 17. So about 15 years now. I tried stopping a year or so ago, and I definitely felt worse then, but it could have been for a number of reasons. I still take them now.

I take it to balance my cholesterol, ldl vs hdl, and to improve mood but I notice a huge difference in my working memory and concentration. I highly recommend.

I take them. Good for the heart but can cause colorectal cancer.

I should take them again for my heart health but they make me hungry idk why. My parents were giving me fish oil since I was a kid so I eat more because I was underweight. And now I am very obese 300lb :worried:

LS! I take vegan algae omega 3 DHA oil. It has the same effect as fish oil, but without the cruelty. I have read a lot about DHA EPA. EG - Jean Carper- Your Miracle Brain is mostly about fish oil. The latest news on omega 3:

In theory Omega 3 should be good for you if you have a mental disease, as well as many other illnesses. In the western diet we get too much omega 6(because we tend to not eat enough fish and seafood) which is linked to inflammation in the body. Inflammation is linked to diseases in general. When you take omega 3 you balance out the omega 6 so that the body gets less inflamed. Also fish oil has small amounts of vitamin D which is known to combat depression.

I’m 230lbs obese as well. But that’s not cos of meds. Just years of junk food. For the past few days I’ve been eating for chocolate bars and a pack of Revels.
