I wish Covid did not exist, but since it does - Poll

Once for sure, not certain about the second illness. First one left me with brain fog for over half a year.

Was the brain fog lessened after your recovery? What I’m asking is if the post covid fog you had for 6 months was as serious as the fog you had during it…

I’m asking because I honestly feel a bit mentallly impaired atm

I was never tested, but yes. During the height of the pandemic. It was like no other illness I’ve had, and I’m positive it was covid. I just refused to go to the hospital bc they knew so little about it at the time. This was just a couple months before full blown psychosis kicked in. 2020 was a fcked up year on a lot of fronts for me.

It started to lessen after the second month for me. Not what you want to hear, I know.

Jan 2020 I had some throat infection but I dont know what it was. I have gotten four or five doses of the Pfizer vaccine. I got one last month before traveling to NYC. I have never tested positive for covid. It scares and saddens me. I have been in the ER around those positive with covid and not gotten it from them. I saw one person really unwell being given outside air time but it just broke my heart I woudnt wish it on anyone no matter what. When the new variant broke out in metro areas a lot of people complained of flu symptoms many got covid
even after boosters which led to a confusion about the effectiveness of vaccines still i was told the vaccine reduces severity of symptoms. Im still confused by it all, since I dont risk losing a job im able to speak more openly.

either way I followed the advice despite my fears and paranoia

I didn’t take the vaccines. Got covid once. It was like a average flu. I don’t have underlying diseases though. If I did, I might have got the vaccines.

I supplemented with vitamin D, zink and vitamin C though. Which also is a good strategy, and would be crucial if vaccine didn’t exist. If you have a underlying disease, I would do both.

I might have gotten it March 5. I sent away for tests. Didn’t get them. By the time I was tested in April, it was negative.

I’m surprised so many people haven’t gotten it. Or maybe the people who haven’t gotten it are more likely to respond to the question. Who knows, but I’m certainly surprised by these results.

Lol my sister got all three shots and still got it. Pic related

People get flu shots and still get the flu, because you’re only protected from a handful of flu strains, but not all of them.

There are several factors in why some vaccines don’t work, or are only effective for a relatively short time.

That being said, I still haven’t gotten vaxxed for covid. I dunno why just haven’t cared.

I got all three shots because i had to travel. Also when i got covid the first time I wasn’t vaxxed and i never wanted to ever go through that again

I had 3 shots and got it. my 4th shot was due for over a month though so…it may have been my own fault for not being motivated to get my 4th sooner. My dad had 4 shots and got it still. However, more than likely, Covid wouldve been worse for both of us if we had not had shots. Supposedly, we both should have still had some Covid antibodies to help fight the Covid we did contract. I also got Paxlovid as a precaution.

Yea I don’t want to either, it was awful. Felt like I was on my deathbed.

I thought i was going to literally suffocate to death in my sleep. Super scary

Me too. I kept laying on my stomach, like they said to do, but I don’t stay still in my sleep so I was terrified of rolling over and suffocating.

And you still didn’t get vaxxed? Man, when I got it I completely changed my mind about the whole thing. I thought the vax was the mark of the beast or something, but after I got it, you couldn’t get me the vaccine fast enough. Never again.

At the time, I was going through a lot. Full blown psychosis happened just a couple months after covid… Maybe even just a month after I dunno I’m bad with time lines.

I was distracted.

Then I moved from CO to NM, with my aunt who is staunchly antivax, and I had lost my car. No way would she take me.

I would, I’ve just had my mind preoccupied on other things.
