I went to the VA Nutritionist today

I gained 13.8 lbs. from last time I saw her. She told me I was still in the normal weight range. I told her I was not happy with my weight gain. We went through my calories and diet and exercise habits and could find nothing wrong. I had not had any medication changes so that was not the culprit. Neither was my mood the problem as my mood is normal. We identified the fact that I moved from an assisted living facility that had two flights of stairs to a basement apartment, and that I was no longer regularly climbing stairs. She told me to take the three flights of stairs outside my apartment door three times a day. We’ll see if that works.

Running stairs, and dieting made me lose 70 pounds, so that could help.

Oh no, @jukebox, I’m not afraid of stairs at all. I’m in really good shape. Yoga keeps me top notch.

There. I just walked up and down three flights of stairs three times. No worse for the wear.

My VA doc said she is going to send me to a nutritionist and put me in the Move program but I haven’t heard anything. Now that I am going back to work probably won’t have time for it anyway.
