I suppose it makes sense. Or else everyone would just be on ‘happy pills’
But it made me think APs aren’t as galant as that. A NT would get knocked on their ass by a big shot of Thorazine and I am sure they would experience psychotropic effects.
It’s about time we get APs on a par with ADs

They don’t make you happy but if you think about beck’s cognitive models of depression then they probably are better at fixing that. Just because something stops you from seeing the bad in things doesn’t mean it will make you see the good in things. Since they commonly cause emotional blunting and Sexual dysfunction they are probably more like a mood stabliser, stopping you from feeling the highs also.
ADs work better on me than APs.
I always asked my shrink why couldn’t an ad make you happy? Probably easier done in this day and age with all the new chemicals out there. I can see the reason though as it would probably bleed into society as another recreational.
I’m sure the extrapyramidal symptoms would be hard on a NT for sure.
I have a question. I think I am getting dementia. Does this mean that I really don’t have SZ and I took psych meds for decades and decades and that is why they gave me dementia? If I really had SZ then I wouldn’t have dementia? I don’t know if I want to stop my meds though. Is that wrong? I mean if I don’t have mental illness I shouldn’t take psych meds, right? But why was I in psych wards? They would have sent me home if I didn’t have SZ right? I was just thinking about neurotypicals and meds and SZ and psych wards and got worried.
Dear plantL you must recall som of the cofusions and misunderstandings your psychosis created and that you now realize were delussions and then recognise that you maybe are a little bite schizophrenic. The reason why so many of us Schizos believe we’ve got dementia is the cognitive issues caused by our illness and meds.
