I applied for a loan to get an airplane. I got denied for a conventional aircraft loan because my credit is too bad. I applied for two $25k loans with a bad credit lender and with the credit union that financed my car.
I will have to wait until Monday to hear back. If I don’t get approved it will probably take one to two years for my credit to get better. But eventually I will buy an airplane. I found one I really want to look at during Spring Break so we will see.

One of my buddies owns a helicopter and 1/2 of a plane (he has a partner). I love going flying in the helicopter. What kind of plane are you interested in?
So cool and so amazing! I have never thought that I would buy an airplane. But if have one, it must be wonderful! I can travel all around the world easilly.

Yeah. It’s an experimental but a light sport is a two seater and weighs less than 1350 pounds
My late schizophrenic friend was an avid “flying-ophile”. He constantly talked about getting his license to fly small aircraft. Unfortunately, he told me that the powers that be, would not allow him a license until he had two years solid of being off of medication. I don’t know if this is true but this is what he told me.

Yes @Wave I have a pilots license but you can’t get a medical to fly regular planes with a history of schizophrenia or taking any of the medication that I take. But as a light sport pilot you can fly a light sport airplane with just a drivers license.
I have a commercial pilot license for single and multi engine airplanes and helicopters. I can’t exercise those priveledges without a current medical exam but that means I am over qualified as a sport pilot.
