Good luck @Wave
Thank you @LilyoftheValley!
You are so kind
The forest fire smoke and a bone spur on my right foot have hampered my own exercise this spring/summer. I’m sharing your pain here. Hopefully we both get back on track soon.
I’m sorry @shutterbug
Yes thanks
I’m on Risperdal Consta, Geodon and Seroquel. All are AP’s.
I eat two meals a day, breakfast and dinner. If I get a sweets craving, I eat a small square of dark chocolate 72-75% cacao and thats it. Seems to work.
I no longer count calories. I just measure portion sizes and keep them small. Usually a half a cup of starch, half a large plate of cooked vegetables, and a cup of entree or palm sized piece of meat.
I now weigh, and am weight stable at 157.2 lbs. I’m female and 5 ft. 8.5 in. BMI is normal.
I take 200 mg of the appetite reducer Topomax daily. It also is a mood stabilizer and reduces the severity of migraines.
İf you remove bread from your diet you lose 5 kg(i think 10 pounds)but if you want to loose more than this you have to exercises that burn at least 400 calories daily. otherwise its impossible lose weight on meds.i m eating max 1200 calories daily and i m 112 kilos.
Yes thanks @anon68444330
I’ve decided to give up bread entirely.
It’s going to be tough but I have to do it.
My psychiatrist said absolutely no bread.
How old are you @naturallycured?
If you don’t mind me asking.
I’m 57 years old and sedentary also.
I’m diabetic and bread is like candy.
Raises your blood glucose levels immensely
@Wave don t expect too much difference when you cut bread.you will lose only 10 pounds.if you want much more you need to moderate exercises.i m using adidas training coach.its only 3 dollars monthly.there is 52 types of exercises program.really fantastic exercises.
Yeah I really can’t exercise other than walking but I’m really not motivated enough to walk outside lately.
But thanks @anon68444330
I don’t want to say. Just solidly middle aged, that’s all.
I understand, thanks
@Wave i figured out that for some reason you can eat a small portion of something with chick peas in it and feel completely full.
It’s true @Loke. I’ve noticed that too. Hummus fills you up quickly
I love hummus but I can no longer eat it because I have bread with it.
I see. What about having it with fresh vegetables? Like carrots, cucumber, broccoli, cauliflower…? That’s what I do
No I don’t like having it with veggies but maybe I can add some to broccoli and try it.
I might like it.
Thanks @LilyoftheValley
