I periodically decide to attempt a walk and almost every time it ends up being a mini nightmare lol
It’s mostly because my dachshund is not very friendly to strangers/other animals so I keep her on a short leash and keep an eye out. My pit bull is friendly but she gets extremely excited when she sees strangers or other dogs so she can become an issue too.
These are things I try to work on but feels best to avoid contact anyway.
So today I ended up running into several really young kids and they ran towards me really excited to pet the dogs and I said no please they are not friendly, but they kept running anyway so I started walking away and apologized again.
It was really weird but I wasn’t about to let my dogs potentially get aggressive with a random kid, I don’t allow any kids around my dogs for this reason.
My Anatolian Shepherd (livestock guardian type dog) puppy is beginning to be aggressive with strangers. I walk her everyday and we have strangers over regularly because of different friends plus work being done on the house. I don’t know what else to do.
She’s very snippy with strangers and children, she does not like children because they grab and stuff. But once she knows you she’s so sweet and cuddly. She responds to my panic attacks and crying spells in a very empathic way, so does my pit bull and sometimes my cats
I have a cat. You can’t walk her. Put her in her harness and she throws herself on the ground and wails. I end up dragging around a crying, furry lump at the end of a string. It makes it challenging to try and give her fresh air in the backyard.
