I thought I was doing better

I have a doctors appointment this Thursday.

I thought I was doing better not too long ago but I keep finding myself needing to take Ativan to calm down.

I’m on 40 mg Prozac and 20 mg Olanzapine.

Maybe an increase in Prozac and an additional med like Buspar or Gabapentin could help?

Maybe I need to switch my AD and AP? I read that Seroquel is good for anxiety.

How long have you noticed needing the ativan? I know that, for me, every 4 years I get very anxious and stressed for “NO PARTICULAR REASON” until around the second week in November. In my case, it is influenced by the current events that bombard social media. Not sure if that might be a bit of it for you.

Gabapentin can be prescribed as a PRN for anxiety, and is more mild than ativan. It might be worth looking into. It helped me a ton.

Yeah I might mention it to my doctor on Thursday.

Thanks for the reply, hope you’re doing well @Ninjastar

Talk to your psychiatrist.

For me, if I don’t go outside for a day or two, I get pretty anxious. I try to at least walk the dog most days, or maybe drive to get some lunch. Helps a little bit with the anxiety

I’m also on Ativan (1 mg). I don’t really like to take it unless I have to. I also smoke the hemp flower, which is the best anti-anxiety supplement I’ve tried.

Hope ya feel better, man!

You should experiment with supplements that chill you out.

These work for me.

Avoid a supplement called “Kava” as it damages your liver.

I take gabapentin and it can heal with anxiety… idk if it’s the sole cause but my anxiety is down like 70% compared to before but I also moved to a less stressful environment

Limiting caffeine can help. Agree with @everhopeful try out a few supplements. You might stumble over something that helps, and then you will have a remedy that most likely gives you virtually no side effects, compared to drugs.

That’s really promising man. Gives me hope.

I take magnesium and I find it helps. Not a huge amount of relief though. Just a little.

Buspar helps me but only in high doses.

I am on a combo of 20 mg olanzapine and 1 mg of risperidone, and 20 mg citalopram. I find that combo helps my anxiety a lot.

I now have hydroxyzine at moderate dosage to help those times I do struggle with anxiety
