Now with a cold/flu combo I’m hardly able to walk without falling.
My daughter is feeling even worse than I am. What a way to start the new year.

The pharmacist said all I can take is Tylenol. He said stuff like cough medicine might interact with my meds.

Yes I feel super hot and then freezing cold. And I also have major joint pain.

Yeah the pains are the worst. Definitely sounds like a dose of the flu for you.

Haha I have medicare I really need to see a doctor just in case. I went so long uninsured I developed some bad habits like never going.

Fair point. The official advice here is unless you have other physical problems you are to wait a week before seeing a doctor

Not much a doctor can do for a virus; it just has to run its course. There’s Tamiflu, but that stuff is garbage, useless medication.

Yeah but it sounds like these dizzy folks are dehydrated and in need of IVs. People die from the flu.

The Dr office is closed until Jan 2nd and going to emergency would just send me home or let me sit there waiting for 5 hours or more
I get that. But are you at least monitoring your temperature? Drinking lots of fluids? If you can’t keep down fluids, you should really go in at least for an IV. The dizziness and falling down are scary signs on top of the chest pain you’ve been having the past few weeks.

I’ve been drinking lots of fluids especially Gatorade to give me electrolytes. I am just dozing in my chair watching Netflix with my daughter. Neither of us are hungry. Soon my son will awake up and I’ll order in some food. I’m definitely not standing over a hot stove.

Pedialyte is basically the same as Gatorade. They used that at the hospital to get electrolytes and my Dr said it was great to get my blood pressure back up.
