I think the psychosis might be part of me having bpd (borderline)

Yes I know no one here can tell me, but I wonder if there is a type of borderline personality disorder where people don’t get angry often or even suicidal?

also is it possible to get borderline if a relative has it?

I just read there is a subtype called quiet bpd… where the anger is internalised rather than outwardly expressed. I do criticise myself a huge amount… I mean ALOT (which is a symptom) but I have not done anything suicidal since being in my early teens. so… I dunno

I have BPD with my sza. I rarely get angry with others but i often feel suicidal and have self harmed in the past (it’s been a while since I’ve self harmed, thanks to therapy). I always think of it like this: sza f@#ks with my thinking, BPD f@#ks with my feelings. I also feel BPD affects me more in day to day life than sza.

Yeah I don’t feel sza affects me if I have it. I mean I have had two episodes in a span of 14 years. I haven’t self harmed since I was a teen. I am almost 40. so I am confused if I have bpd or nto. time to visit the psychiatrist again.

Read about Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and see if the skills they teach are ones you need. If so, DBT might help you a lot regardless of whether or not you meet all the criteria for BPD.

I have been referred for this already but I haven’t heard from them/. I got referred due to my autism.

It teaches a lot of skills and is very helpful. I don’t gave BPD but I do benefit from the skills learned in DBT
