I think the most challenging mental health condition is OCD

OCD with some sprinkling of early schizophrenia gave me PTSD. I’m super embarrassed of it, too. You know most people get PTSD from actual traumatic events and external factors, but mine was all internal. I feel so weak and like a failure because I had to go to therapy for it, which did cure it almost. My therapist specializes in trauma therapy, and he sees people from all over the area, so when it came time for me to talk about my nightmares, he helped a lot with trauma techniques.

Yea i think pure OCD is in some respects similar to scz it’s like out of control stuff in the mind.

I hope things get better for you.

Sorry to hear that @Wave I hope it gets more manageable.

I can’t bear OCD I think it’s got a lot to do with the fact that some1 I know has it and they won’t take meds for it.

Do you reckon that the longer one leaves OCD untreated, the harder it becomes to treat when one finally goes into treatment for it

Internal factors can be very traumatising. Not sure if many ppl who’ve never had sz can truly understand that.
