OCD and psychosis

I never thought about ocd but i’m a little obecessed with subjects, i always was like this. I had food compulsion too, but meds induced it. I wa s anorexic too for a short time, i recovered quickly. What do you know about ocd? Do you have it?

I think I have ocd. I count numbers a lot and lines on the concrete/surfaces. I used to count up the syllables and letters in each sentence I said. It was a terrible habit but fortunately it stopped. I also had a bit of an eating disorder from 16—>antipsychotics I think. And tons of compulsions/obsessions over the years. It’s gotten better with antidepressants and other meds and life. But still have it. They say cats are ocd. My cat definitely has ocd.

I’ve had it since a very young age though.

I think ocd is a symptom of schizophrenia. I read in surviving schizophrenia that rather than a separate diagnosises they often list it as a symptom of schizophrenia because it’s so common for szs to have at least some ocd.

Ocd is an anxiety disorder. Definitely can also have a psychotic aspect to it. Especially when very serious and untreated.

I’ve never been diagnosed with it but I know I have it a bit.

Hum…there are so many things, the umbrella is so large, i actually start to resume it like “our brain thing”

OCD is very common with schizophrenia and bipolar disorder.
Also commonly seen with schizoaffective.
