Because I would train every aspect of fitness at once. And maybe I find a good reason to quit smoking.
And what about brain damage? I´m sz. I already have brain damage; let´s go down the rabbit hole!

I would love to learn Judo. Seems like a really practical martial art to learn.
Was in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for two years. I loved it.
My knee is kinda bad so I would be too scared to sign a contract then get hurt.
@StarCrazy only if people wear gis on the street
@ThePickinSkunk awesome! a seasoned BJJ fighter who also plays the banjo! Damm scary!
I enjoyed Kung Fu when I did it
I think a lot of people would enjoy martial arts, but they think they don´t without going to the first (or first couple of) lesson.
Very true! I enjoyed sparring and grappling. Plus I loved the conditioning
I used to hit the boxing bag in the gym I think it good for movement
Dude I was thinking the same thing the other day.
I’m a melancholic so naturally I need a lot of exercise and I’m drawn to martial arts because it has that artists part to it. Like you actually come up with your own fighting style and stuff. Especially MMA. Very cool to me.
Just brutishly pumping iron is boring to me personally
I loved martial arts when I was younger. I did Tang Soo Do and Shaolin Wushu. I tried to start doing it again a couple years ago but my knees wouldn’t cooperate. Even Tai Chi was painful. I really miss it. It was also too expensive for me to keep going.
There is a boxing training center five miles down the road. Thought about it before but idk. If I step on my left foot wrong my knee gets a happy dose of sharp pain. All worried about footwork tbh.
If you did come to the conclusion the next step should be signing up and going and not talking about it in the forum.
You’re not going to find anything more effective than krav maga if you’re wanting to learn better self defense. I enjoyed Shaolin Ryu Kung Fu when I was younger and healthier. I’m doing Tai Chi now that I’m an old fart. It aids with staying flexible and it even helps level out my negatives a bit. I am happy to recomend it to others.
You say you need a lot of exercise like you already are doing it but then you say you are only thinking about it. The fitnessstudio is not boring, have you even tried it before?
Go for it!
I´m starting to watch a lot of kickboxing. Look for a fighter to emulate! In my case I like Giorgio Petrosyan a lot. I like a lot the label of “technical”, either defense or offense.
Unlike you (I think) I won´t try to be a creative, artistic fighter. I´m aiming to be the most technical, sounded, good fundamentals fighter I can be!
I have no clue what you are talking about. I exercise every day.
Good stuff man. My favourite fighter is Fedor, Tyson and Mohamad Ali. I agree with being technical ofcourse I just mean, theres an element of artistic mastery. Like the part of practising and developing your own new techniques and grinding at them again and again to perfect it. Best of luck to you broski!
I took mma for a few months. Its hard. Pretty tiring. Kickboxing/muay thay was fun.
Bjj was exhausting and easy to injure shoulder joint and other joints lol.
I have enough grasp on the art to defend myself.
My bro is a black belt in bjj
Now i just feed da hippos
I concur. I got my elbow hyperflexed when I was arm bar and it took a while to feel better.
