Ive heard NO voices for over 48 hours, im off my med due to physical injury

Your meds are still in your system. It’s common to feel better off meds shortly after you stop them. It might take days, weeks, or months before symptoms return for the worse. I’m not trying to scare you but it happened to me and countless others.

Ive had communication by voices saying they wouldnt return.

The voices aren’t real. My “voices” are just random and appear as soundless, intrusive thoughts. I wouldn’t listen to your voices, but it’s nice they said they won’t return. Probably feels good.

My voices come out of machine noises and wind. They call me by my full name and slang name.

So do you have any real “audible” halucinations? My new pdoc doesnt like my dx because i dont have audibles but what you just described is what i suffer from. Is that common for sz? Im not too confident in the doc though she is going to put me through a full eval with a psychologist to make a new dx

I’ve been told I have voices, but I don’t. I have the same paranoid voices as a paranoid schizophrenic but they’re just intrusive thoughts that make no noise. It’s like my subconscious is doing it.

I went 3 months med-free before I had to be hospitalized.
This is why i oove this site. Dont know why it feels good to talk with other people like me, i think loneliness is one of the hardest parts of the disease. I have only had a handfull of literal words heard the rest are as you describe, kinda in my voice. Staying on topic @chancewatcher, unfortunately its unlikely we will ever be “free”. Finally accepting that was one of the best things i did this year, helps to approach this as something you need to learn to live with. Times of silence are really little gifts though.

Wait I have this too, it’s like my subconscious is interrupting my conscious sort of…but I don’t hear them out loud? Is this even SZ? Because I’ve not been Dx’d with anything except bipolar and ocd?
The subconscious voice it causes me to do ocd compulsions too… I just thought it was normal

I’ve had hypnogogic hallucinations a few years ago while falling asleep. That’s it.
You don’t need all the symptoms to get diagnosed.
Interesting because I get some of those sometimes too. I’m gonna talk to my doctor.
My voices always, usually anyway, come out of machine noises too.
David Bowie still sounds like David Bowie. And he sounds great.
