I think i have been the least prolific writer ever

I have about 30 sides of paper, (divided into 4 monologues) not even tightly packed, of work i’m happy with after 5 years

I want to commit to free writing every day.

my husband works shifts so i don’t have a routine.

unless i do it just before bed and just on waking maybe a good way to do it. I make the tea normally so i can stay in the kitchen and do 5 mins maybe

that is the only solution but i have the most laziness it’s not 9am and i feel like skipping it for the day.

Oh and about 40 poems.

my mum said effectively i’m a poet.

so maybe not destined to write that really great dialogue play i want to think i have in me

wrote a full length play i’m not happy with at all

disastrous - fully into rehearsals when they pulled the plug

So you managed to send your play into production? That’s already something most playwrights only dream of.
Don’t get discouraged. Keep letting that ink flow. Eventually you’ll get better results. :pen:

most successful play has been a monologue which was paired with another monologue went to edinburgh festival with it - and a short tour last year.

The full length play i have self funded for years of meetings and then got big lottery funding .

I was all stressed this one pivotal week and from there it was all stopped.

I have paid the money back - after paying the paid people

so the full length one - i might be chosen by a disability group for my play but it’s a real long shot.

Think i need to work with more mainstream or accessible projects but i am still writing autobiographical monologues which i need to move away from
nothing left to say

thanks for the congrats. not doing badly just annoyed i can’t hold a story for more than a few pages

Have you tried the “snowflake technique”? Here’s a rundown of the steps:

Don’t worry. You’ll get there eventually.
