Perfectly preserved dinosaur egg with a fully formed embryo’s skeleton in it! So cool!
I’m choosing to believe it’s real because it’s on BBC, but I suppose it could be fake.

It’s real. It’s fossilized.
Very cool! Thank you for alerting me
Yay if dinos are real, maybe santa is too!!!
Jk
Santa is definitely real
i mean technically he is saint nick is a hisorical person which the legend is built off of haha
@77nick77 is a saint.
Awesome!!!
Can you send a link about it? I’d like to read about it!
Don’t we have the tech now to surrogate at least some of this stuff? Like would you be able to reproduce a Mammoth?
We can split an atom and genetics has come a long way…Maybe those dinosaur parks aren’t too far out of the picture?
Dna cannot be pulled from fossils.
Ahhh. That makes sense. Thanks for the headsup but wondering why we can’t do the same from permafrost mammoths for example?
You need an animal close to the original in order to have a donor egg. They are working to use elephants to do that right now. A lot of debate on if it is ethical.
Now the whole world finally knows.
So many things to be discovered in this earth and universe… Baffling…
Global warming and they want to bring back the mammoth makes sense
Actually, mammoths were important to the steppes.
There is some discussion of recreating mega fauna and introducing them into the Russian steps. It’s kind of like discussions of cascadia more fantasy than reality, but it is interesting
what are you talking about? My point was that a big fat hairy elephant would not be well suited to a planet in meltdown, (if it ever got that bad) a lot of ice has melted since they were hunted to extinction. (Humans wiped them out) much like a lot of other species and its still happening,
The white Rhino was destroyed and lots of other animals critically endangered we are awful human beings. If i created the earth and everything on it i would be angry at what we have done.
DNA degrades over hundreds of years.
