I’m going to apply today.

Wish me luck.

I hope you don’t work yourself into debt. The debt industry can be hard.

I pay back my credit card at the end of every month.

I also got once a credit card refused without explanation.

Good luck! I mainly use it because it’s so widely accepted. Even internationally.

Thankyou!

I don’t know if I will be accepted as, if I remember correctly I may have been rejected first time I tried to on the phone.

But idk why…so I will go to the bank today hopefully and talk it through.

That’s great you always paid it back. That’s how it should be.

I got a credit for Amazon card, and a eBay card, and PayPal credit. If my parents find out the debt I’m in now. I don’t know what they’ll do. Especially when it comes to inheritance.

I just use a debit card. Credit cards charge a high interest rate, and they’re a temptation to spend more than you should.

But what about if you really need money and know you can pay it back a bit later. That’s why I’m applying.

If you pay back at the end of the month you don’t have to pay any interest.

Also if you travel internationally you’ll notice that often only credit cards are accepted and not debit ones.

Either way, if you can’t handle a credit card you shouldn’t get one. That could become an expensive lesson.

Oh no… Sorry to hear that sounds awful! Hope you work it out

That’s good to know, thanks

Do you reckon it is like that internationally too?

I have a MasterCard and I just have to pay back at the end of the month. No interest.

But you could always scrutinize the website of the bank you’re applying to. It should be explained there.

But I’m assuming it’s the same in the UK.

In the US I also didn’t have to pay interest when I payed back at the end of the month. Even with international travel,

Edit: and there I had a UK :uk: bank (HSBC)

I have been burden to help pay for some issues with our house in Florida. Otherwise I am slowly wiggling it down. As long as my parents don’t find out. And I pay it off. I have got my dream computer. Close to my dream bike. And able to purchase a lot of things I need and want it from Amazon. my father despises credit cards and the interest they charge. And he always boasts how he is not in debt in any way shape or form.He has five credit cards. And he pays Them off immediately before any interest is charged. And if he’s ever charged a late fee he will go bonkers until they remove it. If this house sells. I will have a lot more free money to pay off my credit debt. We gotta offer but it was written up so crazy my dad made a counter offer and the buyers went somewhere else. As we are trying to sell the house now.

I can’t tell you which country I’m from as I prefer some anonymosity

But I appreciate your advice.

I’m going to ask the bank about the interest things…

Good luck!

There are also some other members that like to keep their region anonymous (while it’s a public secret).

Asking your bank for an overdraft is a lot cheaper than a credit card.

Credit card is cheaper than an overdraft for me. When I have an overdraft and credit cards as now I have a court appointed person who manages my finances as I lack capacity. My credit score is 969 out of 999 yet I lack capacity.

I have a credit card and as soon as it is paid off I’m buying a decent acoustic guitar and case. I make a payment each month because if you get a bad credit score you can’t get an apartment.
